Does anybody know how to do the roster update on here?

if you play it online it should do it for you

Would that carry over so that I can have those rosters if say I did a season or franchise? I never play online anymore so I dont know, but if it will work then Ill have to hook it up.

yeah just save it to a memory card and it will work just fine man!

You better watch out with the roster update though. Any player put on the IR last season you wont be able to use, and also it kills their rating for the next season for the simple fact that were not used any during the previous season.
